Spring Arbor University and Mission Igniter are hosting an afternoon with Dr. Fraser Venter, Strategic Catalyst for Love-Driven Justice for the Free Methodist Church USA. During this training Fraser will provide resourcing for pastors, church leaders, and students in developing a theology and practice of justice, contextual intelligence, and pastoral formation for engaging justice in the church and culture. We will address questions such as: What does personal spiritual formation have to do with justice? Why did Jesus see Justice as part of His ministry and ours? How is understanding the beauty of Justice integral to the Gospel? How can we have ‘conve-‘grace’-tions? How can we see our communities through the eyes of justice and mercy?
Rev. Dr. Fraser Venter is the Free Methodist Strategic Catalyst for Love-Driven Justice, a position that serves and encourages the FMCUSA Conferences, Churches, Networks, Pastors, and Leaders to know and demonstrate God’s heart for Biblical Justice.
Previously Fraser was the Lead Pastor of Cucamonga Christian Fellowship for 25 years, a multi-site and multi-lingual congregation. In addition to his former pastoral role in the Rancho Cucamonga area, he served as one of the Southern California Free Methodist Superintendents.
With regard to family, Fraser’s claim to fame is that when he married JoAnne, he ‘married up.’ And that is still true after 30 years. He and JoAnne have been blessed with two adult children, Madisen and Jeffrey, who are amazing world changers. And now the captor of his heart, his first grandchild, Gabriel William Marble.
For those who are interested, Fraser will be speaking in Spring Arbor University's chapel service at 10:05 am (in The Arbor Church auditorium) on the 20th as well. There is no cost for the gathering but we do ask that you register:
Please note, lunch will not be provided during this event. However, we encourage pastors who are attending chapel beforehand, to grab lunch at the SAU dining commons. You can pay at the door, no specific space has been reserved for our group.
