While pastors and leaders wholeheartedly embrace the great commission to make and multiply disciples the reality is the majority of churches today are struggling to do so. In fact, research shows that only 5% of churches in the US have a reproducible disciple-making process. In an effort to reorient ourselves around the core mission of disciple-making we are holding a one-day Disciple-making Intensive on Saturday, November 6th.
During this event Pastor, Church Planter and Author Myron Pearce will be our keynote speaker and will inspire us to pray, dream and think strategically about the importance of disciple-making in our contexts. The Intensive will also include breakouts with missional leaders who are utilizing effective disciple-making methods in their local churches. Following this one-day intensive leaders will have the opportunity to join a disciple-making cohort that will meet throughout the year to develop disciple-making language, a disciple-making pathway and disciple-making methods for their local church. All appointed pastors are expected to attend the one-day Intensive.
